Dr.Leilei Jin | 金蕾蕾博士
Dr. Leilei Jin is currently a Postdoctoral Researcher in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at The Chinese University of Hong Kong.Peking University PRCC Research Group Joint Training Program.
During her collaborative research, Dr. Jin has primarily focused on developing the complete physical design flow for Backside Power Delivery Network (PDN) on 7nm platforms. She utilizes Genus, Innovus, PrimeTime, and HSPICE to perform co-optimization of Backside PDN and routing. Addressing prominent signal integrity challenges in Backside PDN design, she has formulated optimal strategies for Backside PDN and routing optimization to maximize the Power-Performance-Area (PPA) benefits of Backside PDN technology. Specifically, her work includes analyzing signal integrity design challenges in frontside circuitry at high frequencies due to Backside PDN implementation, as well as compatibility analysis between Backside PDN technology and Htree/Mesh clock tree architectures.
Her postdoctoral research interests also encompass (from an Electronic Design Automation perspective):
• Circuit timing analysis and optimization: Exploring crosstalk prediction and optimization (delta delay, glitch) at the 14nm global routing stage, which reduces design cycle time compared to traditional signoff timing analysis
• Process variation impact: Investigating the effects of 14nm process variations on statistical timing model and power calculation, integrating with tools like gem5 to help designers capture timing and power sensitivity to Process-Voltage-Temperature (PVT) variations
• 3D Integrated Circuits: Currently exploring partition-free floorplanning techniques to alleviate downstream place-and-route design pressure through effective floorplanning algorithms
